In the state of Alaska, first-time participants are required to register for and take an online class prior to attending their first field trial. The one-time fee for the course is 145.00.

A new participant can register for the online class when they are registering for the field exam by noting an online course is also required (see the Registration page and login to our registration portal). A new participant may be prompted to request a new account and login.

The EPA and Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation recommend reviewing the information in this class occasionally, or if a participant cannot provide proof of prior certification. The link to course materials and the quiz is available in the registration portal.
